- Nancy Streeks Grasmick graduated from the Maryland State Teachers College at Towson with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 1961. Dr. Grasmick served as a teacher and administrator in public education for 28 years before accepting the position of Maryland State Superintendent of Schools. She served in that role for 20 years. In 2012, she accepted the position of Presidential Scholar at Towson University as well as a faculty appointment at the Kennedy-Krieger Institute.
