Detroit Teachers College* Detroit* Michigan* My dear Dr* Courtis: The merger of the Baltimore City Training School with the State Normal School at Towstfflu to develop a State Teachers College* is now being discussed by both the Baltimore City Board of Education and the 3tate Board of Education* The ne» State Teachers College will not want to lose the student enrollment that now goes out to teach in the counties; and it will want to train the city students* who will eventually go into the City to teach* in the oest possible way. As I understand it, your institution trains for both city and country teahhers. If that is true* may I have your latest annual report and the copy of your courses of 3tudy. with any other data that you think may be of value to me in presenting a plan for the merger to the two Boards of Education* I would appreciate a prompt reply.
