February 20, 1968 SGA Financial Committee meeting minutes

Minutes of the SGA Financial Committee Meeting 2/20/'68 1. It was decided that the English Club would be allowed to re-allocate 17.00 to cover a reception for the retirement of Dr. Crabtree, with the stipulatio that this was not a policy of the Financial Committee and that no other organization may do this without express consent of the Financial Committee before such event takes place. This is covered By Article V Section a, of the Financial policy. 2. The fresh-Soph request for a re-allocation of $250.00 from unspent funds of the Class of '70 to the April dance was approved. 3. The Judo Club request of an Allocation of $90.00 for Judo - Ghi's was approved with the abstention of Charles R. Singman, Senator of the Judo Club. 4. The S.O.C. was re-allocated 25.00 for a gift for Their advisor's with the stipulations aforementioned in item one and that this is not and will not be a policy of the Financial Committee after this date. 5. The Financial Committee met in Closed session and discussed the present status of the Finances of the S.G.A. and the Treasurer presented his Quarterly report to the Committeeand state d that he intends to present this to the Senate at their meeting this afternoon. It was brought out that the allocations for this fiscal year are $ 106, 737, 50 and that disbursements are $106,737,50 making a overallocation of $33.29. It was also brought out that through errors in the State Auditing that a total of $38,000 was due to the SGA treasurer and of this approximately 33, 129.00 is a more probable sum. This would then leave the SGA Treasury with an unallocated sum of $33, 086.20 as of 2/20/'68. Respectfully submitted, Charles R. Singman, acting secretary
