There are obvious and appropriate reasons for this approach. It is to be fair to everyone including the President. If I or we say no you can then always approach him and I have no problem with that. In fact, less than a month ago, he was approached on the Ford Grant without contacting me first and I again said that the process is wrong. Now, it happens again. It is inappropriate. Your dean agrees. To be fair to all constituencies, please owrk thorugh us and not around us. Thank you for your willingness to do so. Bob P.S. I am very supportive of the WMST efforts on this campus. I would liek to remain in that posture. Working together helps to assure that that goal will be achieved. c: Chappell
