It sounds like the best solution, given the circumstances. The $18,000 plus the $7,000 should be enough to do what she is thinking of doing, and we appreciate the offer that if future needs increase for some reason, she can come back to you again. Karen is actively thinking/searching for grants, even though she is employed only half time this semester. (She starts full-time in January.) She is planning a June 2000 summer workshop on women and work in Barbados, and intends to attract an international participant group. She is advertising it on international as well as national networks, and already is receiving multiple inquiries from Russia, England, Mexico, Australia, Isreal, etc. This new focus on international perspectives in women ' s foundations . the Ford international worth it to mounted, and conditions should be of high interest to a number of private For example, in December, she will meet with officials from Foundation about supporting several initiatives oriented to themes.
