- Description
- Photograph taken in the 1920's of a Deacon bench for an article in the Oriole. The benches were built when the Maryland State Normal School first occupied the building at Carrollton and Lafayette in 1876. They were built out of red cedar for $4.50 each by Charles P. Stevens & Co. and were used in the two study rooms and assembly room in that location. Today, they are in various locations on the Towson University campus.
