- Photograph of the construction of Newell Hall in 1914. This facility would offer dining and dormitory services for students at the Maryland State Normal School for the first time in the school's history. It was named after McFadden Alexander Newell, Principal at MSNS from 1866 until 1890. This building is still in use at Towson University.
