S. Department of Housing and Urban Development utilizes the Public Housing Management Assessment Program (PHMAP) to assess each public housing agency's (PHA's) management capabilities and deficiencies. The purpose of this letter is to transmit all the PHMAP scores and designations for PHAs in your geographical jurisdiction. The PHMAP regulations are delineated in Title 24 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 901. PHMAP provides an objective system for measuring PHA performance. It is used to provide incentives to high-performing PHAs and to encourage all PHAs to achieve high performer designation. High-performing PHAs are afforded greater flexibility in the operation of their public housing programs, with increased responsibility and authority for their own management decisions . The following table shows the PHA name, number of public housing units, PHMAP score, and the designation for each PHA in your geographical jurisdiction.
