News TOWSON STATE COLLEGE Baltimore, Maryland 21204 News & Publications Services, William Carey, Director Tel: (391) 823-7500 August 27, 1974 The entertaining world of the Emmett Kelly, Jr. All Star Circus will be featured in two benefit performances to be held at Towson State College's Burdick Hall Sunday, September 8 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Considered America's favorite clown, Kelly brings all the excittement of the traditional big top performances with outstanding artists from all over the world in a show designed for the entire family. This one ring circus includes tumblers, acrobats, jugglers and the two ingredients which captivate audiences the most: animal acts and clowns. Following the clown tradition of his now semi-retired father, Emmett Kelly, Jr. has developed a new and special type of circus which the N.Y. Daily News called "a howling good show." Whether five or fifty, the Kelly Circus with its music, clowns and animal acts is a show you'll never forget. Tickets are available at the College Box Office at $3 for adults, $2 for students and $1.50 for children under 6. Proceeds from this SGA sponsored event will go to the Student Day Care Center. -30-
