1970 Student Publicity Regulations

STUDENT PUBLICITY REGULATIONS MARCH, 1970 A. General Regulations: (For all forms of Publicity) 1. All display material, posters, banners etc., must be neat in appearance and in good taste. 2. Materials should not be placed on walls or painted surfaces or tacked or stapled to the edge of bulletin boards. 3. No individual should mark, destroy or in any way deface publicity material. Objections to posted material should be directed to the S.G.A. Publicity Director. 4. Student Publicity Boards should be used as designated. Student Organizations should use the boards allotted to them, while boards designated as "general" are open to everyone. 5. Organizations are held responsible for material posted on their boards. B. Posters Posters may be displayed on the appropriate organizational board or on general bulletin boards. However, posters to be displayed in the College Centre or in the Dormitories require the permission of the C.U.B. Executive or the Dormitory House Council respectively. C. Banners 1. Any material, be it poster, sheet of tagboard, or streamer suspended above teh floor by string ribbon, wire, chain or other means, is considered a banner. 2. All banners to be strung anywhere on campus must have the permission of the S.G.A. publicity direction. D. Bulletin Boards. 1. Organizations wishing to have bulletin board space should submit a request in writing to the S.G.A. publucity director. The request will be fulfilled at such a time as space becomes available. Boards are allotted on a first-come, first served basis. Failure to use allotted board space will result in the loss of that space. 2. General Bulletin Boards are defined as all Student boards not designated otherwise. 3. Special Exceptions: a) The Naturalists' bulletin board is owned by that organization and is subject to use at their discretion. b) The outdoor bulletin board case at the South end of Richmond Hall is under the jurisdiction of the S.G.A. Publicity Director, but has been allotted to the Towson Players (Glen Players). Other organizations may use the case if granted permission by the Towson Players. c) The outdoor triangular case North of Stephens Hall is open for General advertising subject to approval by the S.G.A. publicity director. It may not be used for election campaigning.
