Raft Woodus
Raft Woodus mentored Towson University students for almost 40 years. Retiring from his role as the director of the Student Success Programs in 2019, Woodus previously held leadership roles in the Tutoring Center, Office of Disability Student Services and Office of Commuter Affairs (all of which have been renamed). Colleague Joel Bolling estimated that Woodus was a guiding influence for more than 11,700 students involved with the Students Achieve Goals through Education (SAGE) peer mentorship program (supporting undergraduate minority students) since he founded it in 1984. He also started Man 2 Man student support group and inspired the Raft Woodus Student Success Programs Fund.
