Commencement Programs

The Towson University Commencement Program Collection includes programs from commencement ceremonies between 1866-2021. The programs provide a unique historical record of Towson University and higher-education for Maryland teachers. The programs feature the names of graduates; past principals and presidents; notable speakers including Maryland governors and school superintendents; Towson University’s historical names; degree programs; and select student organizations and awards. Additional information includes marginalia from previous owners, a few historical Baltimore printers, and graphic design in academia.

Note: Some specific programs are not available, including: 1868, 1870-1872; 1874-1876; 1878; 1880-1882; 1884; 1885; 1889; 1890; 1894; 1973; and Winter 2019

Also note: the 2020 Commencement Program includes both spring and winter graduates. The Winter 2021 commencement was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Winter 2021 graduates will be included in the Spring 2022 commencement progam.
