Women's Studies Center Director position description

DIRECTOR CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF WOMEN AND EDUCATION Towson State University is seeking a Director for a newly-created Center for the Study of Women and Education. Candidates should have the Ph.D.; a familiarity with and strong commitment to curriculum transformation work, which will be one of the Center's major emphases; experience in grant writing and successful fund raising, and the ability to help develop both course-related and other research projects across a variety of disciplines; administrative experience; and evidence of ability to work with faculty and community groups. This is a 12 month, administrative position, but can include teaching one course per year. The position offers an opportunity for a dynamic person to create initiatives and help define the direction for a new Center for Research on Women and Education at a metropolitan university with a strong history of accomplishment in Women's Studies and curriculum transformation work. Salary is competitive and commendurate with experience. Position is contingent on state funding.
