His talk, entitled ""Information Please"" is geared primarily for Freshmen English students as it will deal with the use of Library materials. Kappa Delta Pi will bring Dr. Roma Gans of Columbia University to our college in October and the subject of the lecture will be ""The Trends of Elementary Education."" Another organization on campus, the Jewish Students Association, will sponsor Dr. Jacob Conn, As-sistant Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins who will deal with a subject concerning education and psychiatry. (Cont'd p. 6, Col. 1) Kappa Delta Pi Sponsors Dr. Gans Dr. Roma Gans, Professor of Elementary Education at Teachers College, Columbia Univerity will be a guest on campus October 11. This visit is being sponsored by Kappa Delta Pi. Dr. Gans will be at the college for luncheon and will visit classes during the aft-ernoon. At three o'clock a tea with the supervising teachers of Baltimore City and County schools, student representatives from the organiza-tions, and faculty is planned. Dr. Gans will speak at four o'clock in the Lida Lee Tall Au-ditorium at an open meeting. Fol-lowing this address, the Epsilon Alpha Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi will have dinner at the home of Dr. Ruth Smith. Nationally known in the field of elementary education, Dr. Gans was the feature speaker in the Maryland State Curriculum Work-shop held at Towson last June. Pullen Jr., State Superintendent of Schools, was the guest speaker at the Fall Convocation Assembly held Thursday, September 22. Dr. Pullen was presented to the faculty and student body by Doctor Earle T. Hawkins. Dr. Pullen spoke on the aspects of an educated person. He told the assemblage that all through the years. men have thought about democracy and the principles of right and wrong.
