This was the combined price tag for three students who put together a trio of mini-masterpieces to debut April 14. It may seem like an outrageous sum,"" said Christopher Mosner, who spent $5,000 on his movie. ""But the amount pales in comparison to the average 12 million spent on a Hollywood production."" Mosner, who will show his 45 minute film ""Home Movie,"" helped organize the screening because he feels few people on campus realize the quality of work coming out of the film lab. ""You 'open up Tht Towerlight any week and you'll always find out what's going on in the Fine Arts building - - what the latest play is in production or the latest ballet. But do you ever hear anything about the film department?' ' said Mosner. -To put as much money and time into a film project and not have anyone see it - - well it's like buying a new sportscar and wrecking it before you get to the Bay Bridge."" The film lab is housed in the Media Center, a squat red brick building attached to the library. From the outside it certainly doesn't appear to be the seat of creativity. But according to Mosner looks are deceptive. ""It looks so nondescript and you go inside and its a mess."" The people running around are a mess, and I love it. There's so much creativity, so many unique people spending enormous amounts of time working on projects that deserve to be seen.""
