Ehrlich, Jr. (R-2nd., MD) has been named to the powerful House Budget Committee. The Budget Committee is charged with setting annual spending targets for the federal government. It is widely regarded as one of the four most powerful committees in the House. “I am honored that the House Republican leadership has given me this important assignment,” Congressman Ehrlich stated. “Balancing the budget is the most important task facing Congress today. As a member of the Budget Committee, I will have a hands-on role in crafting a bipartisan balanced budget proposal.
