As a member of the House Budget Committee, I was pleased and honored to play a meaningful role in forging last year’s balanced budget agreement. With a balanced budget agreement now in place, and some economists predicting there will be a budget surplus this year, how to spend these additional monies will likely occupy much of Congress’ time.
