- Photograph of Principal Lida Lee Tall in costume standing in lawn in front of Stephens Hall celebrating the 200th anniversary of George Washington's birth during May Day festivities. Dr.Tall was named the sixth principal of the State Normal School at Towson in 1920. During her tenure, the school grew physically with the addition of Richmond Hall, a new building for the Campus School, and expansion of the dining hall. She also oversaw the addition of a four-year program which would become the bachelor of science degree. Her title was changed to President in 1935. Tall retired from the Normal School in 1938.
