Some of the leading officials of economic, political and military life of the German Third Reich are seen in the defendants' dock, on trial in the Ministries Case at Nurnberg. These officials are accused of aiding Hitler come into power through the high positions they already held in the German government, and of transforming Hitler's dreams of conquering Europe and the world into action. One of the number one Nazis under Hitler was Ernst Von Weizsaecker (left) State Secretary of the German Foreign Office from 1938 to 1943, and German Ambassador to the Vatican from 1943 to 1945. Other defendants in the front row, left to right, after Weizsaecker are: Gustav Adolf Steengracht Von Moyland - Wilhelm Keppler - State Secretary for Special Assignments in the German Foreign Office from 1938 to 1945, and economic advisor to Hitler from 1932 to 1938; Ernst Wilhelm Bohle - Chief of the Foreign Organization of the NSDAP form 1933-1945. (Back row, same order) Otto Dietrich - State Secretary in the Reich Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda and Press Chief of the Reich government from 1937 - 1945; Gottlob Berger - Lieutenant General of the SS and Waffen SS, and Chief of the SS Main Office from 1940 to 1945; Walter Schellenberg - Brigadier General of the SS, Waffen SS, and the police, Chief of the combined civil and military intelligence service of the Reich Security Head Office from 1944 to 1945, and Chief of the Foreign Intelligence Division of the Reich Security Head Office from 1941 to 1944; Lutz Scherwin Von Krosigk - Reich Minister of Finance from 1932 to 1945. All of the defendants held high positions in the party with such medals as the Golden Party Badge and others, and were Generals in the SS with the exception of Otto Dietrich and Lutz Schwerin Von Krosigk."
