STATE UNIVERSITY Towson, Maryland 21204-7097 November 26, 1991 SENATE BUDGET HEARINGS The meeting was called to order at 3:15 by Vice-President Gobel. BLACK STUDENT UNION: Student Government Association Office of the Vice-President ( 301) 830-2711 A motion was made by Senator Ayers, seconded by Senator Robinson to consider the Black Student Union. Unanimous. Senator Ayers made a motion, seconded by Senator Robinson to accept the FAB recommendation of $2429.00. 9-0-1. PSI/CHI PSYCHOLOGY CLUB Senator May made a motion, seconded by Senator Baroudy to consider the PsiChi/Psychology· Club Unanimous. Senator Graybill made a motion, seconded by Senator May to accept the FAB recommendation of $458.95- Unanimous. FILIPINO CULTURAL ASSOCIATION: Senator May made a motion, seconded by Senator Levin to consider the Filipino Cultural Association. Senator May made a motion, seconded by Senator Bateman to accept the FAB recommendation of 495.00. Unanimous. STUDENTS ACTING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT: Senator Graybill made a motion, seconded by Senator May to consider Students Acting for the Environment. Senator May made a motion, seconded by Senator Graybill to accept the FAB recommendation of $964.75. RECREATIONAL SPORTS Senator Ayers made a motion, seconded by Senator Levin to consider Recreational Sports. Discussion included the fact that Recreational Sports Constitution needs mending in order to establish which particular group will receive money (Rec Sports is an umbrella group). Senator Ayers made a motion, seconded by Senator Levin to accept the FAB recommendation of $2000; this money is to be held until Constitution amendment is established to inform SGA as to who receives the $2000.00 for next semester. Unanimous. ICE HOCKEY CLUB Senator Graybill made a motion, seconded by Senator Levin to consider the Ice Hockey Club. Unanimous. The organization is in good standing with the SGA. Discussion included the fact that Ice Hockey Club is independent of Rec Sports and NCAA; furthermore, policy is needed in reference to athletic funding. Senator Ayers made a motion, seconded by Senator Baroudy to accept the FAB recommendation of $0.00. 1-9-1. President Cameron stated that to withhold money from the group before policy was established was discriminatory. Senator Paquin made a motion, seconded by Senator Levin to accept the Ice Hockey Club's request of $3981.50. 7-3-1
