STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION MEETING
The meeting was called to order at 4PM. Director Kaufman made a motion to amend the
Minutes of 3/24/92. On Page 2, the first item under the heading DIRECTOR OF ORGANIZATIONAL
ADVANCEMENT should read "The 6 month probation has ended for the following •.. "
With correction noted, the Minutes were then approved.
PRESIDENT GOBEL: * An SGA representative is needed for the Homecoming Committee; Senator Douglas
volunteered to serve. * In reference to the Bookstore extension of money, Senator Levin is to speak with
Wayne Sharrer, Bookstore Director.
* Prejudice Forum: 4/15, 7-9PM, Potomac Lounge.
* Ethics Forum: 4/02, 3:30-9PM, Potomac Lounge.
* Inauguration: 4/03, 7-9PM, Potomac Lounge. All outgoing/incoming Senators are
expected to attend.
* President Gobel is selecting furniture for the 3rd Floor Study in the Union.
* SGA and SAB are rewriting the Banner Policy. Upon completion it will go t 'o Government
Operations for approval.
* All outgoing Senators are to return their office key by 12N, Wednesday, 4/1.
Failure to do so could result in a $25.00 fine.
* Senators and their friends are urged to attend the University Senate meeting
next Monday, 4/06, 4PM, Rm 309 of the Union. There is a motion on the floor to make
TSU Football Team a non-scholarship program, which would free up approximately $300,000
for other sports programs. Also, there is a separate motion on the University Senate
floor to eliminate football at TSU.

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS: Kevin Kintop. Report given by President Gobel
* Tiger Reels continues to be very successful. A new computer software package
has been purchased.
DIRECTOR OF ORGANIZATIONAL ADVANCEMENT: Gayle Kaufman
* Zeta Phi Beta is March Group of the Month.
* Spring Charter Renewals not in as of date: AAF, AMA, CBGLO, Computer Science,
Grub Street, International Club, Kappa Sigma, Lutheran Student Movement, Muslim Student
Assoc., Newman Club, Phi Sigma Sigma, Alpha Phi Alpha, Kappa Alpha Psi, Phi Kappa
Sigma, SAFE, Student Ambassadors, Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
* Director Kaufman wrote a proposal to President Hoke Smith for the purpose of requesting
partial funds for the Ice Hockey Club. (Other sports are provided a field on which
to play; likewise, Ice Hockey requires a suitable, affordable surface.)
CHAIR: Vice-President Ayers
* Congratulated Director Kaufman on providing the Leadership Workshop.
* Surveys needed as soon as possible from Senators.
